Aruze OO Hanabi 4th Reel Motor?

Hi Again,

I posted a while back regarding my problem with the OO Hanabi 4th reel (the one that never stops spinning). I received lots of helpful tips and I definitely appreciate it!

I believe I have isolated the problem to the motor. The reel spins fast for a second, then slows down (repeatedly). When it slows down, it sounds like gears are grinding in the motor. I'm thinking that they might be stripped.

I'm wondering if anyone might have a working motor they might be willing to part with (perhaps from a parts machine) or know of someone who could sell me one.

I'm about ready to give up on this thing, but I've put too much into it to quit before I at least attempt to replace the motor.

from the sounds of what you explained i doubt its the motor it sounds more like the optic sensor is bad and the computer is trying to calibrate the reel . i would get the entire 4th reel assy. not just the motor and you'll probably fix the problem .altho buying an entire O'hanabi is probably a wiser choice since this machine is a dime a dozen and not a very sought after machine so you should get a great deal on one and keep the other for parts .I dont know where you live but you might look into calling gaku and asking about an unreferbished or raw machine i'm sure hes got some lying around .But since their not making them buy the japanese themed machines anymore i'd hurry .
