That's the only ball lift I'm aware of... other than the one that Arby has shown us.

As far as a motor, I'd think torque will be quite important.
A toy motor may work for a few marbles, but these metal spheres can get heavy!

Has anyone thought about using a windshield wiper motor?
You can often find them surplus, over-runs. Many are two speed, too.
They may have enough torque to do the job.
