Default Sonic Pachinko- um, what the heck is going on?

    Hello everyone....

I'm having a hard time getting the gist of what exactly is going on in Sonic the Hedgehog Pachinko.

I've looked at the English translation of the "spec/gaming" sheets here on Pachitalk but overall it's not at intutitive as Pachislo for me.

In a nut shell....how do payouts work? Do I have to simply have 3 matching numbers for a win?

I seem to have "hit the jackpot" yesterday as the machine literally lit up and started spitting out all of the balls from the hopper (it was kinda' cool actually).

But over all, I have no idea what's going on......(or do I need to to really have fun with it?).

Lastly....after about 1/2 hour some of the balls got stuck and started getting backed up.

Other than physically turning the machine on it's side to clear the jam....is there a better way to deal with that?

I can't imagine that Pachinko parlors would pull the machine and tip 'em when they get jammed.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Does anyone know what the two blue buttons on the front left do? I'm guessing they're attendant buttons as they don't seem to do anything.

    Any thoughts on the above?

    Thanks in advance!!!

I don't have a sonic, but normaly when you match the 2 outside numbers you get a reach. A reach is a chance at a bonus round. During the reach if you can match the center number to the outside numbers you get the bonus/big bonus or whatever.

As for the jam, did it jam in the track in back of the machine that the balls travel from the payout hopper to the front tray, or did they jam in the playing field?

(Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)

Ah, simply insert the key to open the machine and turn it to the left, not the right. This should allow the glass door to open over the play field.

Thats how both of mine are anyway.

Sounds like a defective machine, you should send it to me, I can evaluate it for you at no cost for about 2 years

thanks for the tip!....I'll definitely try that.

My wife saw me turning the machine over and asked me what the heck I was doing.....it was then that I realized....there MUST be a "correct" way to do this!!

    I hope it works.

Happened to me, when a couple of balls jammed in the FEVER round, keeping the fever door thing open. I thought it was quite cool until the round ended, another ball fell into it, and an alarm went off, scaring the crap out of me!!

check where the balls are jamming and slightly adjust the pins causing the jam. when you open the door after a ball jam, you will have balls falling allover, thats why a lot of members here bought strong magnets on a stick.

you can check your ball payouts by opening the glass door and manually dropping a ball in each pocket to see what they payout or or if they bank a spin or flippers opening..

Yeah, it sounds like you need some nail adjustments. I think Arby has a classified ad for some nail adjustment tools in the classifieds section.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Sorry, my translations are written under the assumption that you know the basics of pachinko play. Why not check out my pachinko glossary too?
