    Talking Bought my first Pachislo.......

Hi everybody, i`ve been hanging around these forums for a while now, and it convinced me to buy one of these machines. I recieved Gundam yesterday from 777heaven (Thanks!) and now i think i`m totally hooked. Much more fun than the regular UK machines i`ve been playing.
I will be buying another machine, but i was wondering what you guys would think be best. Gundam, as i`m sure you all know is full of japanese speech, so at times i`m sat there pressing anything to see what happens (still fun though!) Are there many machines available with english language? If so, any suggestions.
    Thank you.

    Welcome to Pachitalk, Buzzard.
Since these machines are all Japanese, very little English is heard on them. Some of the newer Pachinkos have SOME english but part of the fun of the hobby is using the imagination.

Usually, zero understanding of Japanese doesn't affect gameplay too much. On some machines, though, it seems like you miss a lot. The Gundams look great though! I've made a few Gundam models and it would be nice to use them as toppers on one of those.

Oh and welcome to the boards!

Thanks for the kind welcome. I`ve been tempted by thunderbirds, it does look good. I`ve also heard good things about sinbads adventures, the LCD looks really impressive. As for my Gundam machine, its definately better than i was expecting, The lightshow during the bonus rounds looks amazing. It had me in a Trance anyway!

Welcome to the group Mr. Buzzard. I am new here also. GREAT bunch of Pachislo fans here!
Lots of dealers to talk with.
Lots of machines to talk about, great ideas.
Most of all, MAKE ROOM for more of them.I purchased a "Popeye" made by Sammy and a Neo-Planet T by Yamasa. A "Sinbad Adventure" is on the way.
We seem to get a lot of "Bang" for the "buck" on these machines. Seems like every few times I play them I see a screen I never saw before.
Some good deals can be had on Ebay...saw a " Camel " go yesterday for $100 with ONE bid on it!
You are on your way to a great hobby.

Just one more question, on my gundam machine the reels are really loud, Is this normal? they also dont seem to be stopping in line correctly. I`ve read that lubricating the reels is an option, is this advisable? I`m a bit worried about removing the reels etc.

You can lube the reels, people have had some success with it. But do it sparingly, the motors can get hosed if you get the lubricant inside them and you don't want WD-40 splattered all over the inside of the reels. Sometimes vibration from the reel cage or surrounding area can contribute to the noise - make sure everything is tight. But basically the reels on many machines are loud...some brands louder than others. The motors themselves add a lot to it, and there's not much you can do about that. Since normally these things were in rooms filled with machines (and people) making a lot of noise, the reel hum wasn't a big issue.

As for stopping in line....how much are they off? There may be a way to mess with the alignment by moving a sensor on the reel "spoke", but I've never done it. Someone else can help you I'm sure. But a small amount of misalignment is normal.
