American IGT Haywire Followup and pics
Just thought that members might be interested in the internals of American casino slot machines. As some may know I had a thread expressing problems that I faced with the machine. Through much sweat I have fixed it without any help from American vendors!!!!!!!!!! It was a short in the coin comparitor harness. Anyway Heres some pics of the insides of one so that when you go to the casinos you have a better idea of what is where. Of course to Pachislo owners there are not many suprises.The coin types can be changed by inserting the comparison coin in the comparitor, as you can see the quarter in one of the pics fairly clearly. Just put the coin you want in there and thats what the machine will use. tokens, coins etc pretty cool! The front door is composed of 2 pieces with a dropdown door behind the Belly glass
Its there to access the Bill collector box without having to open the main door. The main door is very slim as there is not much on it. A few flourecent bulbs,coin comparitor and the LED display.On the inside you can see that next to Pachislos the case is bare just the hopper, reels and one mother board which is behind the reels on the back. You can see the harness connections to it. There are very few wires and the reel area is empty. The other difference that you can see from Pachislos is the Bill acceptor, which is to the right of the hopper and the area beneath that is the bill collector box. All components can be removed very quickly and are designed not to use lubricants with the exception ot the Pull arm which should be lubricated. Guess the Casinos didnt want a mess with servicing and they wanted quick repair onsite. I ran out of pic space so I will post the rest in a reply to this post
