Welcome and you might be our first South African member so our knowledge of your laws is going to be sparse at best.
Suffice it to say that pachinko is played with steel balls. Unless steel balls are a form of currency in your neck of the woods then I would think you'd be okay. Now pachislo which is played with tokens while also not a form of currency in most places beside Chuckie Cheese, are good too. However these machines have been known to be converted to using real currency and by virtue of that, outlawed in a few unforgiving places.

Welcome to Pachitalk Yurie. I'm sorry I don't know the answer either. Do you know of anyone who has either pachinkos or pachislos in South Africa?

Welcome Yuria! Since you have internet access I would think if you do a search on 'gambling, pinball, pachinko, and pachislo' in the laws of your nation, you might find the answer there.
I hope for your sake, they are legal! It's a great hobby!
