Big Bear Pachislo Shop has moved to a new website:

www.gaktradinginc.com

It is a kind of sad that the name " Big Bear" is no longer used. It has become such a popular brand in the pachi-market since it opened in 2004 – I very much appreciate Pachitalk members for that.

As an opening promotion, I offer two recent models at special prices: Hokuto no Ken -- $150 shipped and Guts! Ishimatsu -- $120 shipped!!

Also, I put my own photos somewhere in the site so that you can have a little fun. Please find them and give them a chuckle.

The primary reason for this move is Mr. Ted Kimura’s request (see below). Although I didn't think his argument was very justifiable, I did think he was having a hard time getting clicks on his website. Since I didn’t want to drive anyone out of business because of my domain name and wasn't really attached to the word, "pachislo" or "pachisloshop" anyway, I decided to change my domain name “bigbearpachisloshop” to my legal company name "GAK Trading, Inc."

acceptable alternate arrangement, will compel me to initiate all
available proceedings to protect my interest in my business name,

Whether his argument has merit or not, how nice of you to take the high road and avoid a potentially messy situation. I wish you much success in your newest venture. Men of fine character usually succeed and I can only imagine that this restructuring will benefit you greatly. It seems more natural to deal with Gaku at GAK Trading than Gaku at Big Bear...just my thought

Thanks for the update Gaku. That letter is a sad excuse trying to scare and intimidate. I for one feel it was unwarranted. You offer excellent machines at great prices and he was just afraid of a little competition. Keep up the great work! and I can't wait to see some of your pachinko.

I've always thought that Ted was an upstanding business guy until now.

Now does American Syscom go after Ted for using "pachislo" since they are pachislo.com? Or is Ted going to try and go after them as well? I've not done the research to see who came first, I'm guessing American Syscom did since the pachislo.com would have been the premium name to have.

What would keep someone from using pashisloshop.net? As long as no one else owns it, it's your legal right to purchase and use it.

Ted is so full of **** on this one it's not even funny and I really hate these strong arm tactics.

I for one will not venture back to his sight or consider him in any future purchases I may make.

But I really do like the sound of GAK Trading!

It's sad to say many people buckle under these cease and desist letters, it's just cheaper that way (not that he has a leg to stand on) They have a URL, NOT a trademark!

Either way, whatever you do, don't give them the web address, just put a redirect to your new site on it.
