I had a keychain with a pachinko ball that had "777" dangling from it but I lost it. So much for luck...

There's no such thing as luck. An outcome is controlled by something you effected or the law of averages.

I don't know. I use to think that away. But these days, I feel it does exist. Maybe it has more to do with our perspective on events, then it does with actual out come. If you are an optimistic type of person, you might be more willing to see a course of events as being lucky. I have always seen myself as being optimistic and lucky.

While driving home from work one night, I had an overwhelming urge to stop and buy a scratch off ticket from 7-11. (Incidentally, I opposed the legalization of the state lottery and voted against it.) Buying tickets isn't something I do, but here was this urge. So, I stopped and purchased 13 tickets. (Why 13, I don't know.) But I took the 13 tickets home and scratched them off. The first 12 tickets netted me about $40. The 13th ticket was for $5000. The law of averages, maybe. I played several more times over the next couple months and won over $3000 more. Overall, I probably purchased 150 tickets and won over $8000. After that, I stopped playing. Never had I urge again.

Luck maybe what we make of it. But for me, it is all by the grace of God.

I tend to agree with Tulsa, I like to have a straight explanation for everything. I used to think luck existed then i realized its all statistics or being in the right place and the right time just by occurence.

I use to need a straight explanation for everything to.......But somewhere along the line, I realized that there was an answer and meaning to life. And it wasn't what I thought it was.........So for me, I believe in luck. It makes life a little more fun.
