Oh...you get used to the motion.
It does effect your inner ear to be rocking for a long time.
On the ships there is a saying that one arm is for the ship and one is for you. Most sailors will walk around a rolling ship looking like it does not bother them, but they always have a hand hold at arms reach just in case.
I remember one time after a rather ruff crossing of a few days, going to town when we got into port, and walking a very crooked line down the sidewalk that seemed to be rolling worse than the deck of the ship.
I got a very slow inspection from the local constables as I worked my way from parking meter to parking meter.

Sparks: If a trip on a 1,000' ship is a trip of a lifetime then I was of been born in 50,000BC.
I use those sites to find out where the ship is and when it is getting into port for my return from vacation. I just got off for 30 days Thursday.
We had a Duluth Firefighter on board to do some first aid and firefighting training. Someone you know?
We have to know how to do everything for ourselves on the ship.
I have seen those pictures of the rouge wave before. Great catch by the photographer.
I saw a rouge wave one time (not as big) pick up someone who was working on deck and carry him across the deck with the yellow from his rain gear showing in the foam as his alms and legs flailed about trying to find something to get hold of.
It put him down on deck between two hatches and after not seeing him for a while I walked over to the ship side to see if he was in the lake. It was not a very ruff day and although there were waves just lapping at the gunnel, (top of the ship side) none were coming onto the deck.... before this one.
It was a bit scary but I had to laugh at how after he popped up between the hatches he picked up the hose he was using and started to continue his job....stop...look over the side...work a while...stop...look over the side ...and finally put down the hose and quit for the day.

Sorry sailorpatp if that had been me I would have been heading to the bathroom right a way to empty out my shorts.

It is a funny thing, after only a day on a boat in rough water getting the land legs take a little while.
I have a hard telling if it is the sea legs or the rum when I gey off the boat.
