Default Our Small Windows of Happiness! paradise home property

Once in a while, someone will post a few pictures, or a few words giving us glimpses into their personal lives. bearngg00se, sid, compirate and others have been great examples of this. I for one, greatly enjoy these facinating gifts as they help keep my own little world in perspective, and balance my Pachi addictions.

As we continuously evolve into a greater global community, this provides us with the opportunity to further expand our horizons and show others a slice of our lives that we personally may consider mundane and uninteresting. Far from it ... this is true Life and makes the merry world go arround.

I'm hoping that others will add to this post so that it can become an anchored reference in a fashion similar to the "Games Room" and "Member's Pictures" threads. Searching a normal thread for these gems and seeds of life is impossible.

To start things off, here's my anchor to sanity, a few views of my house deck overlooking a small retention pond harbouring geese, ducks, storks, loons, gulls, rabbits and foxes. I grew up in the Canadian Shield north of 54, with scenery similar to bearngg00se's (but with a lot more rocks), and the wilderness serenity is impossible to duplicate in a city. This was this best compromise I could come up with and it is a Black Hole for stress. I enjoy it greatly and I hope you do too.

bearngg00se, sid, compirate and others, please re-post your pictures here so that they are not lost forever.

Come on gang, don't be shy, let down your hair and let's see your "Windows of Happiness!"

And to keep things rolling along, here is proof that we too, can experience a London fog, (Without Jack) and a couple pictures of what happens when it freezes.

    Stunning photo's!

Thanks for sharing. Here's a shot of my house this last winter on one of those great snow storms we have in Oklahoma. Sticks to the grass and trees and not the concrete and gone by afternoon.

It's not a stunning photo, it's just home...

Here are some pics of the last day of summer storm we had last year. Many old mature trees no longer around. Really changed the look of the neighborhood.

Every morning, before i manage to get myself motivated enough to start my day.. I sit in our living room and look out the balcony window.

we live on the second floor of an apartment/condo

i love looking at the mountain. it kinda soothes me..

looking out this window is my favorite place to be, especially when there is a thunder or rainstorm.. love to listen to the rain and look at the mountain

always been more of a mountain person.. hope to be able to one day say good bye to the rat race and find myself a mountain with a nice little hut to call home away from everything...

but thats still a far off dream until then i will settle with my mornings looking out the window.

It looks like your little mountain has power lines so that you can still play with Spidey in your little hut.

We have a 15 acre ranch where we raise chickens and sheep. Couldn't ask for a better area, hills, creek, 5 acres of woods with deer, turkey and lots of other critters. Here's a pic of one of my barns from last winter.

Really enjoy seeing all the pics. Keep um coming

Excellent idea. I loved looking at the pictures of grass...hehe...we don't have any up here! Its all sand, rock, gravel, scrub, muskeg and sharp pointy stuff.

Here is a re-post of my earlier pics:
First one is our last moose hunt (August)
Second one is various pics from The White House (one of our cabins on our trapline)
Third one is my favourite window for morning coffee at The White House.
