Way of changing....?

Hi,
I'm kind of new to Pachislo, and I just recieved my thunderbirds one today. IT IS AMAZING! I have been missing out on so much, the lights, the graphics, the sound, wow!

But i have a few questions being new at this (these are model specific to thunderbirds, sorry if it is wrong category!)

1. On my thunderbirds machine (Fuji), it only lets you spin the reels after you insert three tokens (ie you can win on all the diagonals and all the horizontals). Now I am presuming, since they put in the lights for havin 1,2,3 medals on bet. Also, they have a "max bet" button and just a red button that you can play induvidual credits on (you press it 3 for 3 medals). I may be wrong, but i do think there must be a way to change this?

2. When I want to change the difficult setting (odds), i do the normal procedure like it says in the instructions (turn off, turn key switch, using this button ....) it still comes up with a danger sign on the lcd? It changes, but why the danger sign?

I'm sorry if this is a little long winded, i'm just inquisitive about getting the most out of the machine. Anyone owning a thunderbirds (or have done) would be prefered to answering the post, but even if you don't have one, and you have a sensible idea then please feel free!

And lastly, i want to say a thankyou to EVERYONE at this site!
The community is just excellent, you can get great help, everyone is so pleasant, and i think that this site is a really good sucess! Thank you as well site owner (sorry i don't know you name - clarify :S) for spending the time and money to get this site working!

1. No, those buttons are mass produced and used on 1,2,3 bet and max bet only machines. so theres no way of changing it. Unless it's one of the machines where you can change it. This would be done by holding the button that empty the credits in the machine for a few seconds.

2. im not familiar with this machine so i cant really help with this Q but changing the odds only affects the payout rates.

ahhh cant answer the question on the danger signe but the max bet button question i can its not used any more most modern pachis will only run on max bet nothing else i think they put the 123 bet lights and button on as a kind of tradition

maybe your pressing the wrong button to change odds, do you see a number changing on the door when you press the button. are you pressing down the joystick

I can change the odds, it just for some weird reason it says danger on the lcd!

you'll find if you do the odds change proceedure completely then switch the reset onthen off you'll be in business. this is a max bet only machine. the 123 lights mean nothing.

EDITED - Sorry, didn't realise you'd got the odds changed ok

As for saying DANGER, thats an odd one. Might be a warning that the machine is open and theres a risk of shock if you didn't know what you were doing?

I have the same Max Bet thing on my Neo Pharaoh Zetz, it's basically 3 tokens for the 7 winlines or you don't spin at all. Must be infuriating in a Pachislo parlour when you only have 2 tokens left and the machines just gone into WIN mode - you don't even get to play just one line to try get those sevens lined up

My ArraKing is a Fuji and I've never seen the "danger" on it when I change odds.

One thing no one mentioned so far, and you may be doing it, is to hold the spin knob down for about 5 seconds before returning the key to the "on" position.

The flashing danger sign is normal on this machine. I'm not sure if it's simply tied to the theme or not but there's nothing to worry about.

maybe the machine will self destruct if the joystick is held down for more than 10 seconds!

You're right bencrest, it IS annoying when you only have 2 tokens, and you have to open up the machine and get 1(!) out!

I completely ADORE! the 777 bonus game on the Thunderbirds machine. Anyone know a way of forcing the reels to make it an automatic bonus/whatever you want the reels to show?

Bonus rounds are all random, no way to cheat unless you have one of the high priced cheater devices sold in Japan sometimes.
