    Default Newbie with Dragon Monkey

Well I'm a newbie and recieved my 1st Pachinko Last Thursday. I hate to sound totally ignorant but I read alot on Pachinko from this board and Cannot tell if If its the machine, and not me that can't get the machine going. Honestly I hope its me.

The machine had some small pieces of styrofoam stuck in loading mechanism I was able to get most of it out.Still some left causinga jam? I used compressed air. Is there a better way?

The machine itself switches on ok and graphics are seen but sound isnt there.

Worst case scenario If it got damaged in shipping , Fedex delivered it to me . How long do I have , in ordeer to file a claim?

I'm at my wits end any help would be greatly appreciated. I own 3 Pachislos (Tbird, gulp (Million God), WildWolf) and love them to pieces , Didnt think I'd have this much Trouble with a Pachinko.

    Thanks Again

I'm not much help, but I do know from experience that even the smallest piece of styrofome can cause problems. Don't use compressed air, but a small pick, maybe even a toothpick, and make sure the machine is unplugged.

Also, check to see if you have a dongel connected.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

you won't get any sounds until you get a ball in the center drop pocket.

I helped a friend with the same trouble with a Star Wars. we used a stiff wire with a small hook bent on the end to fish down and snag pieces. you can also check the lower part of the front for pieces.

turn key to left if you have it or open just glass with the release latch.
you will see a latch on the bottom of the cell to open lower half of the door.

we fished out about 10 pieces out of his.

Another thing you can try: Fill the top hopper with balls. Pull the ball release lever in the back. The ball should flow through to the bottom. Sometimes dumping the ball like this will force things out.

Just wanted to give an update on my machine, Its all good and working fine,I used the toothpick method to get all the styrofoam out . Took forever and a day but its done. And well worth it to finally experience the finished product.
My only beef is now is an occasional ball jam . Aside from the rubber mallet technique and shaking the machine, is there a better way?

if your getting a ball jam on the cell, check where it is and adjust the pins that are causing the jam.

I use a very small socket on a handle, it gives you a little leverage and doesn't damage the play field. adjust very slightly, it doesn't take much to adjust them.

I love the video on mine, the screen is very sharp and the light show in bonus round is fantastic

If the ball jam is elsewhere besides the playfield then you missed something in the ball tracks. It doesn't take much to stop one.
