Default Big problems with Banker Nine

Can anyone help? When I first bought it I was having slight problems with the reels turning and not being able to stop them the max bet light was on and the stop button lights were on. I read as to where sometimes the max bet button sticks. I jiggled it by holding it from th top and it seemed to work. I didnt pay much attention to the problem after that. The machine has been sitting for a few months now without play so I went to play it and boom it took the tokens fine but the stop buttons didnt light nor the max bet button.
I depressed the spin arm and the reels began to spin without subtracting the token credits. the reels have hesitations and make noises. I thought that maybe something was stuck again so I tried to pull up the max bet button (Which I did Not push to get the reels spinning) Nothing happened so then I thought what the hell let me tap on the side of the machine in case something is stuck. The max bet light came on and the stop button lights came on and the reels worked like they should as I stopped them one by one with the buttons. After that one series, it happened, the reels just started spinning on their own without the max bet lights or stop button lights on. I did the full reset numerous times checked every connection in the machine and even checked the 2 power fuses even though I figured they didnt have anything to do with it.So now when I turn the machine on the reels begin to spin and poorly at that! The stop buttons dont work and I have to turn off the machine to stop the reels And the max bet button and stop buttons dont light. I disconnected the max bet button to see if anything would happen and nothing its still the same Any ideas of what it could be should I call the vendor even though I have had the machine for about 3 months but havent played it?

Hello, try removing the max bet button and taking it apart, and then putting it back together. I bet something came loose there. Mike : )

I just went back after posting this and if I hit the machine on the lower left outside side of the case not the door, about where the power box is the machine works for a few spins the lights come on the max bet and stop buttons and the reels work prfectly then they go out aggain. What could possibly be near the power box? or is it that its just the right vibration that gets something to connect on another part of the machine?

it sounds like a poor connection somewhere.

unplug your machine and try unplugging and replugging all your connections.

how you tried a major reset????

Whats a dry joint ?and is the stop board the one on the upper left side on the case wall? it seems that if I bang on the outside of case where that board is with my hand it works for a few seconds as well or at least the light flash on and then go off right away.

When I rap on the door itself nothing happens so I dont think it the max bet button only when I rap (very Hard) on the top left hand side of the case about where that board is does anything respond. I even left the door open and wrappd the side of just the door and nothing but when I did it to the case I got a response again

ok a dry joint is a bad solder joint you may be able to see a hairline crack around the solder joint best thing to do if you think you found the bad bord is take somthing non conductive ie pencil ect and gently poke conponents on that bord but i mean gently if in any dobt give the vendor a shout first and see what they say

once you think you got the bad component turn off and check the back of the bord for said hailine crack where the component joins the bord with solder it is usualy a capacitor i found gose dry

You could also try to swap out your stop board from another machine, as most machines use the same type board. Check your other machines for an identical board, and replace with it. See if you get the same result, or if it corrects the problem. If you get the same result, we can then look elsewhere to help you.

Kick the livin' crap out of it!

Then call the person/company who sold it to you.

I'm hoping that you bought this one from Pachino Pallace as they have the lifetime warranty.

    This one's gone psycho!

Lift up on the reel cage to release from rear brackets. rear of cage have tabs that slide in the pockets on the mount.

the Gambler is similar with 3 screws holding the reels in.

try lifting up on the reel assembly before pulling it out.

I Figured out how to get the reel cage out. Now to get the stop board out with out cutting off the protective plastic cover! cant seem to be able to remove some of the plugs with it in the way but I dont want to ruin it.

If you got it from Pachinko Palace and you have a lifetime warranty, you might want to give them a call before you accidentally void your warranty!

the problem you mentioned is from the reels not spinning properly the machine checks the speed of the reels with its sensors . if the reels aren't up to speed it wont arm the reel stop buttons . when you hit the machine it jars the reels and they start spinning normally . I suggest next time it does it you help it spin the reels a bit sort of like kick starting them if you do it to the bad one it should arm the stop buttons try it a few times till you determine which is sticking . then order a new reel from the person you bought it from .
i also found out on some machines I've gotten recently that if you press on the reel wiring connectors (flex them side to side you might find the connector is bad or the pins inside are broken causing the reel to stutter .)you might find the bad reel easier with that method.
