Pachislo style Grab handles....where in UK

One of my cabinet designs for pachinko is going to be self contained and portable ( due to space limitations ) I was thinking of something to make the lifting / moving easier, so was thinking of a pachislo style grab handle ( although digging into the case may weaken the structure too much ?

Any idea where I might get such a thing in the UK ?

the placing of grab handles would not weaken the structure dramatically unless for example

width of side panel 5 inches, width of grab handle 4.5 inch

if the side panel is wide enough and the grab handle is centered is approximately 1/3 of the size of the total width, you are gonna be fine..

Just make sure the bottom is supported and well secured with the entire cabinet/frame when you lift from the handles and its not supported properly the weight is just gonna leave you with the handles in your hand and rest on the floor hopefully not on your toes..

My cab frames are about 9" deep, but the large handles require a 5" hole, leaving only 2" clearance either side..........

True aesthetically they would look excellent, but.......I'll probably go for some external mounting of some kind just to retain the strength...

that isnt too bad......
a little close 2 " doesnt leave much room..

but it shouldnt be too much of a problem unless you spend your days carrying the pachi around from place to place...

Im assuming your going to use 3/4 inch wood/mdf?

using 9" x 1" for the cases - one idea would be to put a metal plate or another piece of wood over the back of the hole for strength.... with the 1" depth of the pachi frame, I could afford another 1" piece of wood on the backing ( I found some nice recessed sprung speaker handles )

Of course Id also get the aditional strength from the machine frame that would also be screwed in place .... might give it ago on the first design just to see how it looks....

Reason I'm doing this is I have limited space, so there will be 4 machines on my upper wall, and the lower space will be used to store a "library" of ( ultimately ) 6 machines mounted in portable cases and stored sideways so that I can pull them out and play with them when I so choose.... I have an idea for a portable ball hopper , so this will keep the lower machines cases to a minimum size and weight ......

will do..... alhtough its not going to be a real library ... theres be no special slide out cases or anything ....just looking for practical storage in the space i've got.....it will essentially be a table top cab, but with bare minimum height and weight .....
