Default Lord of the Rings PAchinko - Skill Level?!

    Hi all,

Been playing my LOTR Pachinko for a while now, and TBH it's getting a bit boring.

I'm hoping there is a way to increase the fever frequency, because so far I've put a good 5000 balls through it, have hit the tulip thing a good couple of hundred times, and haven't yet had 3 in a row of anything.

I don't expect it to pay out insane amounts but a little bit of action would be nice!

I've seen a button at the back marked SW1. It has a 7 segment display next to it. While playing the machine, it just shows ' - ', and pressing the button makes no difference. I'm kinda hoping that has something to do with 'skill level', but do I need something like a key to make it work? The seller is sending me a key but is awaiting a shipment of them from Japan at the minute.

The display on the back is just for showing error codes.
There is no skill level setting, sounds like you are just in a dry spell, it'll hit eventually. All machines will do this periodically.
THe key you are getting only opens the machine. Pachinkos are not like pachislos where you can change the odds.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Oh well, I read back through some old posts and one chap hit 5 fevers in an hour apparently, I'm guessing the seller probably hit a couple as well before he packed it

Beautiful machine mind, I love the video and the playtable itself

PS Cheers for a seriously quick response!

Just be glad you own the machine, in the parlor that 5,000 balls would have cost you $183.49!
    Or 95.43GBP

    5,000*4yen per ball/109(exchange rate)

    5,000*4yen/209.581(British rate)

Cheers, I always wondered what kind of exchange rate was used for Yen > Balls. I'm guessing it's basically the same for Pachislo tokens?

They 'rent' for 4yen, redeem for 2.5

Tokens are 50 for 1,000yen (20y ea) I assume redemption is 12.5 ea.

When you hit it could be a gusher. So be prepared. When I hit on my thunderzone once it was about an hour or so long of thing but fever after fever. When it was finally said and done, I was sweating to beat the band.

    Bloody hell...

Just been playing Zetz and had a couple of bonus rounds, and feeling a bit lucky I went on Lord of the Rings.

Managed to get the 'eye' to appear, and after 3 spins it gave me the Fever - FINALLY!.

Paid out lord knows how many balls, 15 rounds full mind and I was firing balls while refilling from the bottom tray.

Then it ended on 'To Be Continued' - 2 spins later ANOTHER Fever, and the same again, 15 rounds, had to refill the ball hopper repeatedly while playing...

*BUT* This Fever ended by saying 'Chance Time 100' on the LCD.

So far I've not played any more balls, but I'm guessing the Chance time on this is just like the Chance Time on Pachislos, basically it'll give Fevers more easily / frequently?!

I think I need some more balls - and to make some kind of 'hopper extender'.

More lights on than usual too.

LOTR is kinda stingy on the payouts. I didn't get one for a long time. Then I got 2 back to back, and havn't seen another since. I just won 3500 balls accidently on ebay and built my first cabinet that can hold 10000 balls. so that should make fever times a lot better now.

I bet if you do a reset on the machine it will give a fever round pretty quickly afterwards. That is how my Sankyo Dai Yamato and Newgin Godzilla work.

Normaly within 1/2 hour after the reset.

(Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)

yea, you do have to fill that one a lot. That's why I built a cab for it. I'll be posting my cab here shortly. Just took pictures of it.

The cabinet I built for My LOTR will hold 1500 balls. The plans are available in my Journal. If you extend the bottom of the cabinet, and make the drawer deeper, You can get more balls to play through...However, 1500 balls all in one drawer is heavy.
