Do SAMMY pachinko speakers need different syscom pots ?

You know how the Sammy pachislo's have different upper speakers, requiring different syscom pots for volume adjustment ?

What about the pachinkos? I just got Fist of the North Star and I need to fit volume controls .....

any advice welcome ....

no the syscom volume mods work on all speakers.

I have a Sammy Popeye and wired Syscoms' pots (the 5 for $15 variety) and they seem to work just fine. I did experience the wierdness with the lower speaker effecting the shooter ground - but when I turned that pot all the way down, the shooter control mech returned to normal. I haven't gotten around to fix that yet...but the other two speakers are working fine(I'm getting lazy in my old age).

I have a SAMMY Popeye too.
I used the Syscom pots (5 for 15) on all 3 speakers and they work fine.
My shooter was unaffected.

Thanks guys.........I just ordered another 10 of the standard ones, as I only had 5 of the Sammy dedicated ones left ( I think they are a much higher resistance range )......I've been using the standard pots on everything else, but i know they don't work on say the King Camel upper speakers for example.....

Only downside is I'll have to wait to use it because its VERY loud.......

What is interesting this is the first game I've had with a ruddy great cooling fan on the back ..... mine sounds like a PC when you switch it on

one of my sammy pachinkos has a gurt cooling fan but i think that is for the motors on the spinners infront of the screen

Can anyone tell us Brits what the specifations of these pots are or where we can obtain the same kit in the UK? My local electronic dealer scares the hell out of me by promising that any pots for 8 Ohm/5 Watt speakers will "fry it mate".

well there are three choices as me and big s are both brits

give steve from 777heven a shout eaither by email or he is an active member here he has pots that work they are 10K stereo pots they will do 2 speakers at a time or you can give nick from www.justpachinkos.com a call he dose a slightly difrent and more expensive version of the same thing or finaly you can do what big s has done and drop siscom a line in the states and they will post you 5 for $10 but you gonna have to pay a little for postage and wait a litte for delivery

if you want syscoms address then do a serch as it is definatly in here somewhere more than once

Those mini pots are 5 for $15 and only about $6.50 postage to the UK ....Syscom will accept paypal and ship to the UK... well worth the money as they are tiny and you can fit em almost anywhere.....

( thinking about It I should have bought a bigger batch then I could helped any of us out ... doh ) next time I'll ppost to see whos intyrested....
