I think that I do want an EL model. BUT.. I am actually going past where the seller lives at the weekend (his warehouse is the other end of the country) and he has a 'Beast Sapp' that I could buy without shipping..

    its very tempting!!!

I am actually thinking that in the long term, I might buy 3.. If this is the case, after what i have read, I would buy:

    1. King Camel
    2. Neo Zetz (or another EL version)
    3. Beast Sapp.

I don't think that I would have anyone telling me that this is NOT a good combination.

Thanks to everyone for their help. This forum truely is a good source of info and help in general

    Cheers

    Jon

Since I have never seen one in the flesh.. Is there really enough 'game play' to justify more than one machine? I see that many people have lots more than 1, but what is the main reason for this.

I know that this might be a stupid question, but its something thats been bothering me!

Most of the machine are different enough to justify multiple machines. But BEWARE!!!!!......These things are addictive. Most people have a lot of machines because of this. If you can't handle the addiction, don't buy the first one.......Run away...Run away very fast......

I thought I was going to stop at 2...(my Don Don King and Magic Pulsar), but that changed quickly. I collected more than one machine for a couple reasons.

    1) Every model I purchased is different (playwise) from the other. Some are more "vegas themed" than others. Some models, such as the DD and SL, are hard to find because they are top-o-the-line machines and I wanted to pick them up before they were no longer available either because I lived in a state which couldn't be shipped to, nobody might be selling them, or Ebay no longer allowed the sale of Pachis for legal reasons. Part of the reason I purchased those in addition to the first ones was that I couldn't afford them back when I bought my first Pachi. When you first buy a Pachi, you don't really know what you're getting into. You may or may not like them at all...but, there is no 'in-between'. If you like it...you'll start wondering what another would look like sitting next to it...and another...and another.

    2) After I started showing one machine off to guests, there would always be one guest standing and waiting for a turn. I also ran across pictures of GWARZIN's gameroom and I was hooked. I started thinking about creating a little "mini-casino" and I think alot of people here have thought the same thing at one time or another. GWARZIN used to say, "The only way to win is to own the casino"...LOL The look on people's faces when they enter my gameroom is worth the price of admission. And when all 5 machines have a guest tossing tokens into each of them, it's just fun to watch.

The EL Vision machines are unique that's for sure. The Zetz and the Magic Pulsar are both good examples of this. While the EL Vision may not be as flashy as some of the LCD video machine (color, HI-RES, etc...) I have to say that those huge color LCD machines just don't rub my rhubarb. For one thing, the video seems too repetitive and I just don't feel that alot of the video has alot to do with gameplay. Beast Sapp, Popeye, and Tekken also do not have alot of English (from what I've seen). I'm not a fan of Japanese anime so my opinion might be tainted. Atleast with the EL Vision there's more interaction with the reels. I too, like the fact that the reels "go dark" and only the fruit is illuminated. Tulsa is right though...the reels on the Yamasa machines hum when they spin much louder than your average Pachi. I suppose the only thing about my Magic Pulsar that I get tired of is the frogs. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy a King of King Pulsar. Great...a fancy color screen...with more of them "way too happy" frogs! Sheesh...

Get the Zetz if that EL Vision is what you like. Just don't get lost in those Japanese menu screens by accident and you won't care that the machine is all in Japanese.

I think the problem may be in having too few machines. Playing the same machine all the time can become boring. Having several machines to choose from keeps the interest level high - each slot has its own style and play value. You will find yourself wanting to play a particular game for awhile - perhaps to hit the 7777 on SpinLuck. When you become tired, bored, or uncontrollably frustrated you can move onto another slot.

My Pharaoh Zetz has been going mental the past hour.

Decided to stick it on Skill Level 6, and since then it's paid out about 2500 tokens, I've had to refill it twice (it has 1100 tokens) and have had more Pharaoh Rushes and Bonuses than you can shake a big stick it.

Little bit overt the top mind, I'll stick it to a more sensible level in a sec.

What would someone recommend? From 1>6, which will offer a reasonable combination of little and big wins without being totally flat and without streaking like a nutter?

streaking (cant help but laugh) and being stingy happen at all levels but if you want the closest to casino action with out waiting months for the big one i suggest level 3.

All of mine used to be set on 6, but after reading several threads/posts proclaiming 3 or 4, I have reset them to that.

    Much more fun!

Actually the Pharaoh sometimes flips out on me even at 3 or 4 (or lower odds from what I can tell). And even at 6 this machine can go stingy and dry for what seems like weeks, and then suddenly it's paying out every spin or doing multiple bonuses. It's part of the programming strategy I think since it can "theoretically" give you a huge number of bonuses in a row on occasion to make up its correct payout odds.

But settings 3 & 4 usually offer a good variety of win types on most machines.

It looks like I might be buying all 3 sooner than I thought.

Thanks to Steve 'persuasive' selling, I have been offered the machines for a good price.

    So, I would buy

    1. Neo Zetz or Planet 999 (Still not sure which )
    2. King Camel
    3. Beast Sapp

I would never normally buy all this in one go, but due to the cost of shipping and the discounts for buying in bulk, it makes sense.

However, I have also been offered a Pachinko at a discounted rate (And with free shipping) and thats tempting!! Its 'Star Wars' which is the one i would choose, but my head is spinning now... As its gone from buying 1 UK Fruit Machine, to 1 UK Fruit machine, 3 Pachislos and a Pachinko!!!

Buying more machines than you have room for is one of the drawbacks of this great hobby

Luckily for me, I have plenty of room.. I have 2 spares rooms which NOTHING in them.. I was going to put my Fruit Machine downstairs in my Dining room, and then perhaps a SINGLE Pachislo next to it.

But now I am on a roll, I am tempted to make a games room out of one of the spares.. I already have a nice cabinet which is the right height that they will fit perfect on..

I now need some more suggestion about what else I could put in the room..

I would LOVE a pool table, but the room is not that big..

There's my last addition I need to make. I don't have room for a real pool table so bumper pool it is..

Now just to find one at a decent price that doesn't have to be shipped in for an ungawdly amount.
