Default What's the chute for on the hopper?

What's the little metal chute for on the coin hopper? Probably a dumb question. I am not too experienced with this stuff. The machine is a Sammy. It makes the coins occassionally miss the hopper and land on the bottom of the machine. The machine is called a Ghost Shock. Also, any feedback on this machine. I kind of like it, but don't really know what some of the letters and symbols mean on the LED. Thanks for any help?

chute is to guide bad coins into the container that would be to the right of your hopper if the transformer wasn't mounted there.

Do you know how the chute determines that, just curious. I must have some bad ones as they are not going in. Thanks.............Birdbrain

It's just for over-flows. As the hopper becomes full, the excess would spill out that direction. Some machines have over-flow containers and some just have the bottom section of the slot cut out and the same cutout in the stand to channel those tokens in there.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Many people put a narrow plastic tupperware type container in that spot to catch the few coins that might overflow before correcting the full hopper problem.
