Quit Smoking = Harley Machine?

Wife says slow down on purchasing more machines after DD. I'm thinking if i offer to quit smoking and put away $10 a day think she'll go for a hd in a few months? Comeon i need some support to pull this off! i'll be showing her this thread so say hi to Kim.

Just take the $5/pack you'd spend on cigarettes and just put that towards the new machine, then you kill two addictions with stone.

I quit for 5 years then inexplicitly started again last fall.of course getting hit by katrina and wilma is no excuse.2-3 packs a day.

I got a lot of support on this board when I quit smoking a few months back. If you are serious, go for it. I can't say that I am completely over it yet, every few weeks in a moment of crisis I will take one puff of my husband's cig...and it reminds me of why I don't want to go back there. $10-15 a day, $70 to $105 per week, $280 to $420 per month, $3360 to $5040 per year and $33600 to $50400 per decade. could buy a lot of pachis for that kind of money or have a nice nest egg. good luck quitting.

Hi Kim,
He should quit for health reasons but the Harley will be a great incentive and goal to work for. He should have to remain cigarette-free for a predetermined length of time before he gets the Harley (and no cheating).

Congratulations to all you quitters - you deserve medals!

On May 31, the whole province of Quebec goes smoke-free, which means you can't smoke in ANY public building and not within 25 feet of an entrance to any buildling. Its going to be difficult, but I'm quitting on June 1 - after almost 35 years of smoking.

Quit and don't look back!
Smoked for years and years, quit cold turkey, and couldn't believe the difference!
You can actually TASTE food, not get winded as easy, not to mention the whole not dying sooner bit:-)
