Default What is a decent number of balls to have for a newer pachinko?

I know nothing about pachinko, so keep that in mind. How many balls can a modern game hold? what is the point on being able to hold a lot? Advantages? Is 500 a good amount? How do payouts work in pachinko parlors? Are the balls worth money or prizes or something?

They hold between 1200 to 1500..

These machines are unlike pachislo's, when they hit they hit big. On average I have to refill my hopper 3 times during a payout.

You want at least 1200 to 1500, unless you convert them.

I would reccomend 2500 balls unless you have a cyclic machine then you only need 100 or so.

balls can be traded for prizes legally, similiar to redemption games like a (Chuck E. Cheese or Putt Putt Golf here in the U.S.) but the japanese have found a loophole by trading in balls/tokens for a special prize in which they will take outside the parlor nearby and trade that prize for cash.

The guys are right 2500 balls is a good number. However, your machine won't hold 2,500 balls. The machines typically hold about 500 plus balls but not much more than that. In order to supply the machine with plenty of balls you will need some kind of case for your unit that can hold all these extra balls. If you do a search for pachinko case you will find that many members here including me have made or purchased cabinets for our pachinko machines to a. hold lots of balls and b. provide a funnel system to return the balls at the bottom so they can be easily placed back into the machine.

Quite frankly, with 500 balls the game isn't very enjoyable because if you hit a FEVER (jackpot) you will be constantly reloading the ball hopper and won't get to enjoy the experience.

Another option I saw metioned here... cyclic. This is a machine which basically automatically feeds itself balls. Most of us prefer to get our hands on the balls. Sort of like a slot machine and you never touch the money. Quite frankly not much different then feeding in a 20 dollar bill and playing credits.

Again if you do a serach on Cylic you will find an abundance of info on the subject here.

    Good Luck!

well, as many of you know. my first is the LOTR's, which should be here tomarrow so how many can that one hold? What do they do in parlors when someone hits the jackpot, if they can only hold 500? Also, someone mentioned unless you convert it. Convert what? thanks for your help onthis guys, i'm trying to prepare and know what to expect.

Bonus question. What would stop someone in japan from buying bags of pachinko balls /tokens from ebay and taking them to a casino to cash in? I mean the balls are just balls and look the same everywhere...right?

ok question one most machines hold about 300/500 balls in there hopper
question 2: parlours run a ball loading system if you take a look at the video i offered you you will see a little how it works when you empty your won balls into the ball counter a ball lifter takes them up to the feed systems usualy about 14/15 feet up in the air that run the balls back to machines also the lost balls are recycled in the same way from the bottom of the machines on a lifter at the end of a track that runs the length of the isle the machines are situated in in the better equiped parlours the balls run through a ball cleaner befor they hit the machines hopper again

Question on conversion you can convert a machine to what is known as cylic ie the used balls run back to the shooter tray instead of out of the bottom of the machine but the down side is there is no payout of won balls the machine will operate on about 50/100 balls without any break in play

Bonuse question answer the balls are engraved with the parlours own markings and signs also there are cameras and parlour girls keeping a beedy eye on you pluss and the big pluss is that alot of the parlours are reported to be MOB run and hey do you wanna get cought fiddling the MOB its kinda not good for ya health
My rice krispies told me to do it

I've found that most (all of mine) hold about 1000 in the top payout hopper. With the shooter tray full, and using my patented one hand method of transfer, witih a ball tray and a bowl, you can easily hold all 2500, feed the top hopper as necessary during a fever round and depending on how your fever round goes and just about forget about reaching around the back to get more balls.
