Spiderman Error Code help

OK my brain doesn't function all the time, but this time I smelled something burning and lo and behold, I found something out.
Sid, the error code 1 has nothing to do with the paying out of balls, I just realized that my payout motors and stuff were still hooked up. So i just fired up the machine and sure enough I still have error code 1 (I think it has always been there to tell the truth). I threw a handfull of balls in the hopper and it payed them out with no problem.
SO I think we can conclude that the code and the payout problem are not related, and to be honest I don't think that code affects play/payout at all. Because I had my machine for a couple months before I went cyclic and it played and paid just fine with that code displayed.

Mine has the 1, and I believe that it has always been there, from the first day I got it. Never affected play so I didn't really worry about it.

i been at it hard with sid again and you are right it isnt the payout motor the error 1 shows when the machine dosent see the top censor or ie i unpluged it or the top censor dosent see balls ie i dumped all the balls it also comes up with the same cod if i totaly unplug the payout section from the main bord but that is the same as the machine not seeing the top censor

So is it the board the sensor is connected to that's not seeing it?

Oh no....I was hoping for an easy fix for you. When my machine was not working, Tulsa suggested that I kick it (and yet, I'm still here ) You may want to try that.

not looking at the bord now as sid has got a tested and working compleate payout of the vendor so we are looking at a cable fault as he didnt get the cabels with the new payout but he had to go befor i could tell him to do a wiggle test

been there, done that, returned the machine, got a differnet one.

Nethippy a member here even came over and we both messed with it for over an hour, a new payout motor didn't help either.

After the Good dr. was able to recreate the error code 1 by disconnecting the main cable to the paymech gave him an error 1 as well.

i have just finished testing the wires 1 by 1 with the help of a led a battery some wire and 2 sewing needles.. ()

all the work great and the LED lit up every time .

so the wire theory is out i guess.

so if as mentioned the error 1 has nothing to do with payout why isnt it paying out.?? Could there be something loose deeper in the machine.. like say the connectors for all the pockets?

hmmmmm... this is a regular who dunnit

This thread has gotten a bit long.

Why don't you do a rehash of what you know, like, when you drop a ball into a payout pocket it won't pay anything but you can or can't hear it try to or when you drop a ball into the start pocket, it won't pay but the video does it's spins etc.

Ok heres a rehash...

when a ball gets dropped int the start pocket either manually or through using the shooter knob.

the video works, starts spinning does the little video sequence lights flash sounds made everything.


No balls are paid out.
even when balls are put into the other pockets as well. everything else works great

balls are loaded in the hopper, the ball stop is realeased so the balls are feeding into the pay out mech. there is no blockage anywhere.

LCD shows error 1.

wires have been tested for continuity etc they all seem to be working properly.

thats what we have so far..


NO SHEEP POO, and EVEN BIGGER NO TO EUROVISION...

A. Do you have a dongle on this machine?
B. Have you checked to see if it's made per the specs we have on the site?

No i havent checked the specs of the dongle...

But I think it's time to let this vendor know he needs to get you another machine, pronto.
Either that or a full refund.
Nobody should have to go through this BS.
