    Default Battle counter PC version

I've been poking around online, trying to see if anyone made a PC battle counter,
    I came across this, http://page.freett.com/datacounter/index1.htm
But without decompiling the code and doing all the language tweaks, it's not much use to me.
Has anyone come across an english version of something similar?

I've looked into this also, it's just having it have a fast enough refresh rate to keep up with the token in/out (pretty fast).
The only other thing I've seen is this:

That one looks nice! Shame you have to order it though, the other one is free...

I'm thinking of having someone from my companies Japan office email the guy that wrote it and ask for the source code, maybe with that we could develop a working US version...

Keep us updated on this one, I'd love to have a system where I can keep track of several machines at the same time, like the parlors do.

    Will do!
I sent out an email to my Japanese counterpart asking for the request, hopefully I'll hear something back next week.

I'm expecting my Mosquito IG on monday, and I have the cable built up already, I want to see if the japanese software works as advertised, even if I can't read what's on the screen, I figure I can see the in/out stats, and see if it's responding quickly enough.

Well, while the software works fine on my Mosquito, they guy finally posted back in his forums, saying the source code wasn't open to the public:-(
Sooo, anyone know any good VB programmers? I have a couple of programmers here at work, but they have no idea how to capture data off the parallell port, etc... or any of the hardware stuff, they just write for multimedia and web ...

I've always thought this would be good:
    Phidgets

Refresh rate of 125Hz on inputs and outputs. With the 8 or the 16, 2 to 4 machines could be monitored.
It's just that I don't know how to progam.

I'm in the same boat, I know just enough vb and c# to be dangerous:-)
My background is in electronics, so the hardware side isn't too bad, just actually using it seems to be the problem:-)

since the guy will not release the source code, maybe you should ask if he is willing and able to create an english version it wouldn't hurt to ask, you never know.

    Worth a shot:-)
Now that I think of it, his response was in decent english too, go figure, after all the trouble I went though making my request in mangled japanese :-)

That's what I was thinking, theres only the text on the main screen and menus that would need changing.
I told him I'd be willing to pay, we'll see how he responds...

Giving this post a BUMP and also to ask you angry radish how did you fair with asking the guy if he would tweak the front end in to english

its a shame rupen has gone AWOL into the real world as he would at least give us a translation of the menu and main screens he kinda good like that but he has been swollowed by the real world and work for the last few months

Still no response from him, though last time it took a couple weeks for him to notice someone posted in his long dead forums:-)
I have it running fine on my mosquito, it doesn't take long to figure out what is what, I would just like english menus, etc.. It would make things much simpler:-)

Anyhoo, I check daily for a new message from him, I'll post here once I get something.

Came across this while looking for a way to create a pachi network... I would be very interested in having a central computer for tracking the ins and outs of the machines I (will eventually) own. Can the PC versions keep track of more than one machine, I wonder... If you wanted help with an English version, I'm not too bad on VB, and don't mind trying things out without thinking about consequences (heck, my 360 isn't out of warranty yet, and the DVD drive has been hooked up, dumped, flashed, re-dumped, re-flashed, broken, fixed and back in the 360 again).

Can't edit my previous post, but here's what I wanted to add:

EDIT: Since I'm so desperate to get some sort of free central PC control centre up and running, I'm going to attempt to do everything from scratch. I'll be creating a full newbie-friendly tutorial on how to set up the cables (hoping to be able to have the software monitor more than one machine via the parallel port). Also, the software will be availiable in English 100% FREE OF CHARGE to all you great guys on PachiTalk. And if anyone wanted to translate to another language, you'll be able to do it with a simple .ini file. The quest begins tonight with a friend of mine who is a whizz when it comes to I/O things. I'm going to build a cable, see what signals are coming in and going out, and work from there. Stay tuned, folks!

EDIT: Hopefully this edit will work... I'll try and get a temp page hosted on my server to save posting everything in new posts all the time (I'm sure it can be irritating to keep having posts bumped). If all goes well, I should have something up at http://pachibattle.experienced.tv by around midnight GMT. Or are we in BST... Hate this daylight savings rubbish...
