    Hi,

To be honest it is looking bleak ... Here are the costs on the testing that has to be done ( this is per model ) - I have built up around 2000 machines in stock and have a further 400 arriving in the next few weeks so should be ok for a year or two ...

    The unit MUST comply with

The Low Voltage Directive, ( BSEN 60335 or similar )

    The EMC directive ( EN55014parts 1 and 2)

The RoHs Directive ( after 1st July this year )

The WEEE directive ( currently just the wheelie bin symbol)

We can carry out the testing to EN60335 and the EMC testing to show FULL compliance, the cost for this will be £2650 in total.

The Rohs testing is a little more difficult as it should comprise of chemical analysis. We can probably do a reasonable level of XRF scanning to find if the product is likely to comply, and give you enough confidence to create a declaration, however if the product fails there is not much you can do about it! The cost for the service will be around £1500 given the complexity of the product.
