The move, with a LOT of pictures!

We are ever so slowly getting moved into the house. At least, nephew, next door neighbors, and some folks from work are. Willie and I are told to just stay out of the way!

One reason it is taking so long is we (they) had to pack and move furniture, books, treasures that belonged to my sister and brother-in-law before they passed away. It is their house that nephews insisted I move into.

Much of their belongings were split between their children and grandchildren, and a lot of it has remained here until they can come get what they couldn't take with them last trip.

Anyway, I thought y'all might like to see what a disaster the house was in, and some of it just as my stuff was being moved in. We are currently using a guest bedroom and the back porch as storerooms for the grandkids things until they can come from California and Padre Island to pick them up.

Those bright blue tables will not be seen, at least the blue part once they are set up and electrified for the machines and lighting.

Right now we put the Spin Luck and a bed in the "media room" for Willie so he could at least play it. He began serious withdrawals while it was being moved.

The "casino" will be furnished with the bamboo, a two-seat red velvet setee, a small portion visible in one of the photos, will be under the dining room light.

If you recall, we named the "casino," Casino At Rita's Pier, in honor of my sister and brother-in-law. Since it is nautical, we have a beautiful hump-back chest that will have red velvet and filled with "gold" coins and treasure near the fireplace...eventually.

Nephew Kyle has great ideas. He used to help his Mom and Dad in little theater when he was very young. And has had his hand in designing and building sets where he works now. It was his idea for the treasure chest, along with many more we hope to get set up in the future. He is a very talented man.

LOL! They were covered with a tarp, and hidden as he moved these in. The other 10 (on the back porch) he boxed. But you never know!

Tony Junior, I've gotta see pictures of the "Casino at Ritas pier" when it's finished. It sounds like a great concept. Will the Casino be the first room you decorate in the new house ? All the other rooms are overrated anyway.
