From what I can tell KY has no laws against any machines including Pachislo.

KENTUCKY any machine LEGAL/PACHISLO OK.

On the other hand IL may be a problem.

Pachislos have always been a grey area here.

but, I've never heard of a bust of owners.

Cherrymasters are legal if you don't pay out anything for winning, acarde style only.

but, the local DAV here gives out door prizes and free meals to players.

In Illinois, Cash in and out machines need to be 25 years or older (as stated) in order to be a Collectible antique. As for modern slots, I can own a modern US slot (IGT, Bally...) as long as the bill validator is removed, hopper removed, and the machine is converted to credit play only. no tokens. The rest of the machine works normally. Pachislos, with tokens, are sold at all the FIM stores in the area, The Slot show near me, and numerous Spencer gifts. They also show up at the local grocery stores during Christmas. It's as if they are considered more of a toy, or slot simulator than a real working slot machine where any true "reward of value" is dispensed.

That's my 2 cents (or...two tokens) worth.

In PA where I live, fireworks are legal as long as they are sold to others for use in other states...Right near the border where I am there are 2 fireworks stores...but in big letters on the doors it says"Pennsylvania residents not permitted entry". They carded me at the door and denied me entry.NJ and NY are illegal states for fireworks but they will sell to you if you have a NJ or NY license...utter bollacks... I guess I will just have 2 be a criminal in my own home...I think most slot laws are stupid. As for control of gaming, if 7 or 8 states have no restrictions on slot ownership , then I really don't see what the problem is with the other 37 states...the laws are confusing and even the authorities don't have a clue. When I lived in NY and owned my 3 coin Double Diamond vegas style slot a police officer came to my house and saw the slot. I just said that it was a toy and didn't really work anyway, he just smiled and left without a word. I really wouldn't worry if you live in a questionable state. I guess owning a slot is about the same offense as smoking a joint or hacking satellite TV
