About a month ago I had a machine pulled because of the FCC thing. I never got a straight answer from ebay no matter how hard I tried. It was the strangest thing. I ended up just relisting it a few weeks later with no problems.

Just heard there stock went up again

eBay stock dropped almost 15% in the last 2 days. They had pretty good first quarter earnings, but there stock still fell. This is probably a good time to buy since its down so low.

Shares of eBay fell $3.58, or 8.9 percent, to close at $36.77 Thursday on the Nasdaq Stock Market.....The e-commerce bellwether earned $248.3 million, or 17 cents per share, during the three months ended in March. That represented a 3 percent decrease from net income of $256.3 million, or 19 cents per share, at the same time last year....Swan cited three factors that could crimp profits later this year: a recent change that has removed some merchandise from eBay's search index; increased fraud-fighting efforts that could alienate some sellers; and increased spending to regain market share in Korea.

You would think if your company makes 248 million in three months you would be able to get your act together....

Looks like a poor choice of wording by eBay?

"Such as" the FCC, meaning the FCC is a government agency.

They might as well have put "such as Homeland Security", and REALLY frightened the sellers.

The FCC doesn't regulate whether pachislos take tokens or coins. Except maybe if you're transmitting the images over the airwaves.

If any agency would give a hoot, I would think it would be the DOJ.

Then again, what if the power supplies aren't regulated they could be emmiting interference which falls under the jurisdiction of the FCC?

Currently, I believe the FCC would say that the person experiencing the interferrence should reposition their antenna.

Should we start wrapping all of our machines in aluminum foil?
(Or should we just wear hats made of it? Nah... I think the only "mind control" attempt here was by eBay)

Will all machines be required to have RF shielding? Only for FCC "approval".
It would be interesting, to say the least, if all pachis would need to be retrofitted with grounded metal boxes or screens, just to sell them on eBay.
