Pachinko is certainly a game with an element of chance as it's a game originally designed for gambling in parlors. While they remove the tactile skills of a pinball so everyone can enjoy it, even the less than coordinated, there is still skill in reading the machines and controlling the speed. Pachinko is a fast and furious game if you choose or a slow and plodding game if that is your preference. You control the total action and pace of play. The added extra flair of the ball, an intense light and sound show and fever rounds that will make you sweat are all part of the alure.

We don't down pinball here, as pinball is a great game and certainly many of our members own pinball machines. Some are even quite the enthusiast, like sacpinplayer. Which is better? Neither. They are totally different games. If pure skill is your thing, stick with the flippers. If exciting fast and furious action is appealing, consider pachinko.

Ask yourself this though, when was the last time you purchased a practically new, pratically bullet proof pinball machine for a couple of hundred bucks?

Howdy All! Can anyone tell me what happens durring the LOTR sequence when the Eye of Saruman appears during the slot cycle? I managed to get a ball in the start hole while the eye quickly appeared. It locked in the eye, but Nothing special happened. Do I need to continue getting balls in the start area while this eye is on the screen? Does it change my odds? Thank You for any help.

Great point Tulsa. This is exactly how I got into Pachinko's. I was looking for a pinball machine on ebay for Christmas and came across these Pachinko machines. Much more affordable than a pinball machine and more practical when it came to space and moving around. I was totally dazzled by the lights and sound show along with cool video and was instantly hooked. Then I found Pachitalk and all the great people here and wealth of information to make the machines even better. Life is good

well, you technically don't get NIB pichinko's either. I've boughten a couple pins for $200 or less. Some in pretty good shape. So it does happen. I've bought about 4 pins less than the going rate for a LOTR pinchinko. I'd like to get one, and even if I don't like it. I'm sure other family members will. So LOTR will have to be my first choice. cuz anything that has a LOTR theme can't suck!

I discovered this while playing LOTR last night:
When I would get three in a row, I would go into the sequence of Gandalph launching the firework and down would come the three images (Gimly) to the front of the screen. A bell would ding, and they would change to someone else (Gandalph, Frodo...etc). Now here is the important part, in the bottom right of the screen there is a small ring with -- layed over it. When the characters changed, the number 77 appeared over the ring. Diferent numbers have appeared for different characters. Does anyone know what this represents? I know it's not the amount of Fever Spins, but it must mean something. I am now leaving work (HORAAYYY!) and play it again for an hour or two.

I also mounted it on the wall, and what a difference in noise level. I will try to post a picture.
