Accidental Addiction!

So, I'm browsing Craiglist the other day, and see an ad for a slot-machine. Hmmm... that looks interesting. Wait a couple of days, think about it, and decide that it would be a great surprise for my husband. So, that's how I bought "Beat the Dragon" Didn't know a lick about pachislo... just thought it would be a fun thing to have around the house...

Fast forward 5 days... count 'em, five! Hubby likes the machine... meanwhile, I'm addicted. Found this awesome Pachitalk forum, and I'm well on my way to needing a twelve-step program.

She who wondered if we really had room for this thing has since won 5- big bonus rounds, wired resistors in-line with the speakers to tone down the volume, gotten pretty darn good at eye-shooting the sevens, and ordered more tokens so that she doesn't have to keep reloading the hopper during the bonus round!

HELP ME... what I really mean is help me decide what machine we "need" next! I'm thinking one with an LCD screen. Those look pretty nifty!

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and admit that may have a problem

To answer your question about which one next. Do you have any hobbies or interests? Outside of pachi's that is. You see, theme is king in the pachi world. The more you can relate to the theme, whether it be LED, LCD, bonus reels or whatever, it will be more attractive to you if you can relate to the theme.

they have a speed racer, thunderbirds all kinds of themed pachis. adams family, pink panther... one of the members here customizes machines... monopoly, scooby doo.... ah the list goes on and on....

welcome to addicts corner better known as pachitalk like tulsa said look for a theam weather it be a cartoon carecter like pink panther and betty boop(swoon she gorgouse) or a film like starwars or thunder birds or hobbies like bikes for the harley davidson machine give us a hobbie and we will spit back some machines but stay clear of spin luck cause once seen and herd in action (vidios floating around the forum) then just like poor eddie you go all out for one and being rare they cost dont they eddie

also look at pachinko as they are well theamed too
take a look at the dark side find the way of the ball

I would suggest if you do get one with a video screen make sure you like the theme quite alot, becasue the lcd machiens tend to get boring sometimes! There are a few that i dont mind playing (Austin Powers, Speed Racer, Addams Family) but most of the lcd machines ive had end up not getting played nearly as much as most others!

Hi, and welcome.....

I agree with Davis, that the LCD's can get old a bit quickly unless you are really into that particular theme.......most modern machines have similar gameplay so choose something that you really like and you can't go far wrong...

However, you might want about a King Camel - it is realtively cheap, doesn't have an LCD, but is loads of fun as it has more regular payouts, and the reels do all kinds of crazy stuff that you won't see on other machines......I'm really enjoying mine, and it was a fraction of the cost of some of the other machines...... .

Generally speaking a good non-LCD machine will be better IMHO , as it has to do more to keep you entertained, whereas the LCD is often filler material to make up for less interesting gameplay.....

gotta tell ya I'm truly impressed that you've been here a week and already wired your own volume controllers in thats impressive . all we ask is you pass that wisdom around to other new users like your self thats the way the board stays alive .......I have a machine with the big screen on it and its the best in my book the animations are excellent and the sound is great totally recommend getting one ...... i recommend running them at level 3 to get the most out of the machine without getting bord easily ....good luck .
