    Default Extending Plug Wires

I need to extend the plug wires from the transformers in 3 machines to reach the outlet in my new gameroom. Does it really matter which wire from the transformer goes to the grounded side of the outlet? I wouldnt think so but I wanted to check first before I splice.

the white is the neutral , the black the hot and if the machine has one the green ground or chassis. if the transformer only has two wires same color it doesnt matter but i would add a ground to the transformer mount and put an inline 3 amp fuse on the hot or black wire just for safety reasons ....

I wasnt going to extend from the transformer itself I was going to simply take the plug off of the cords and splice an extension from there. Should I extended from the transformers?

You should not splice anything and get yourself a plug strip that will also act as a surge suppressor and plug those three into it.

as in the post above dont splice an extension on to the current cord do it at the transformer .if your machine doesnt have a grounded plug yes i would replace it and ground the ground wire to the transformer mount and run a wire from there to the ground strap in the machine if it has one .also add a three amp inline fuse on the black wire to the transformer for protection from overloads . as for the power strip i recomend using one with a surge protector and built in circuit breaker dont skimp on price here this is the insurance on your investment get a good name brand one ......
