Default To Fan or not to Fan that is the Question

I have been looking closer at some of my machines and they look as if they had a fan in it at one time. I was wondering what the most effective way to mount a 12 Volt computer power supply fan in my Pachislos to circulate air around the transformer. What do you think of that idea and any effective suggestions on how to do it??

I just capture the wind output from my wife's telephone into a pvc conduit and feed to all the pachi's. Never had an over-heating problem yet. Keeps the dust from collecting inside too!

My old King Jack came with one installed. Unfortunately, I can't figure out just where it's connected. So I'm really no help.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

if your transformer is hot enough to need a fan its time to get a bigger transformer these machines should be warm due to the bulbs but NOT HOT...

It would be nice if you could trace where it is and see what voltge it uses.

Which machines? Where were the fans installed? Just wondering if you are confusing the place that the parlors install the token refill chute with a fan opening.

of all the pachislots I have had thru here, none have had any fans on them.
Tho most were well ventted with holes and slits for air convection.

I've never felt much heat at all inside the Pachislo cabinets. Even inside the laminated cabinets which aren't vented well.

My King of King Pulsar has a fan I will check to see where it connects and will get back with you. I know that the fan is somewhere near the video screen not by the transformer. I think fas are a good idea in general preventative maintainance!

The fan on KOK Pulsar is located by the LCD video screen. Fire Drift also has one in the same basic place.
