    Default Spin Luck

Hello all. Now is Spin Luck really that good? I'm mean really?? Is it worth me saving up and spending probably twice as much as I'd have to spend on another machine (if I am patient and bid at the right time on e-bay)? Or is it just very good, but more expensive because of the hype and its rareness? Now I know everyone loves this machine, but would I be better off spending half the money on another machine? I'm thinking along the same lines, maybe a Super Blackjack or a Las Vegas. I've got a Jet Set Radio, which I'd sell and replace. I've already got a Star Wars pachinko, which is fantastic, but has made me not play the JST pachislo so much, so I'm thinking I need an equally good pachislo. What d'ya all reckon? Bare in mind that I'm a married man with child and limited negotiation skills!

IMO, you havn't fully experienced Pachislo till you've played Spin Luck. It is that good.

I would highly reccomend SBJ if you don't want to spend the money on a Spin Luck but there is really no comparison between the 2

Thanks DaStooge - if you don't mind me asking, why is it better than SBJ?

You will have to play it to fully understand, but the gameplay is much better.

Here are a few reasons that come to mind:

The future game- when you win a future game you are able to play it then or stock it, you can stock up to 5

eyeshooting- this is one of the best eyeshooters

difficulty avoiding the jac in- alot of machines make this easy but Spin Luck requires you to stop the left reel at a specific point. SBJ is just as difficult to avoid the jac in also

The big 7777, get this number on the future game reel and you have the possibility to win this many tokens if you can eyeshoot well. While in the future game you can go into a Bonus round so who knows how much you can really win.

these are just reasons off the top of my head, if I can think of more I'll post them

The music is fantastic, the announcer calling out what you need to hit is awesome, the whole concept of this machines game play is so well thought out it scary. The only machine that can compare to in game play is it's sister machine the Harley Davidson. The Harley though won't let you stock spins.

It seems that Spin Luck was not that big of hit in Japan, or am I wrong on that?

Just that they did not seem to produce many. I would think the popular models would have many of them made.

Maybe they only made them for certain pachinko parlor chains? I'm really not sure if it was popular or not. If it wasn't, it's enjoying it's second life in the states quite a bit.

Mike, find someone that has a spin luck, play it for about 2hrs. play the future games. you will understand why there is so much hype and why this machine is wanted by so many. plus the announcer speaks in english to you. quite possibly the most english languaged machine out there....

and another thing I have thought of.... wether its bs or not, I dunno but some vendors have said that their sources have dried up as far as spin lucks go....

and also with rumors of only 5000 of them made. I guess you could say it is honestly a "rare" machine

Don't get me wrong, I would like to have one someday. I wonder if it was not targeted to American's, either living in Japan or visiting. Do they come up for sale very often on Japan auction sites?

Thanks everyone for that - certainly some food for thought. So basically it's got very good interactive gameplay, great music and plenty of English. I like the fact that it sounds like it's more skill based, that's the one thing I don't like about JSR, it seems a bit random sometimes. Better go and save up the readies!

Steve (777 Heaven ) has 3 up on the 'bay right now.......

I definitely don't regret getting mine - the eye shooting is really relatively easy, but it does new stuff all the time, and is very entertaining , and theres no other machine to top the excitement of a future spin - you'll be holding your breath every time the wheel spins close to the 7777 !!! Definitely one of the best machines I've played....

Thanks Big S, I took the plunge with Steve and it should be with me tomorrow! I decided I'd buy now before the price shot up - it looks like I was right, as Steve's put the last two up to £475 and £500. Phew!

Nice one Mike ! you wont miss JSR once you start playing this baby ! I was lucky when I got mine as I had bought a shed load of stuff off Steve, and he gave me a good deal ..... looking at the prices now, I'm glad I did ! ...... just wish I could find room for a Street Fighter to finish off me collection......
