Default pachinko case and cells compatability

    Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie, and have just started to explore the wonderful world of pachiko and pachislo.
I was wondering if there is a general chart of pachinko case manufacturers that allow you to change the game, say for instance I had a star wars machine and I wanted to change it would I simply swap out the star wars cell for a different cell.
    Or is it too complicated.

    Thanks

    stuart

It is my understanding that anything made by the same manufacturer in the same year can be swapped

example: you have a star wars, so anything made that year by Sankyo will fit in that case.

cell swapping is pritty easy even for a beginner should take you about 15/20 mins but tulsa and arby have got it down to a fine art of about 5mins

depends on the model but most be simelar but is basicaly open machine up swing power bord out of the way undoo nesecery power speaker cabeles ect and undo retaining clips usualy in the corners and midel of the cell but dont drop it as you open the glass and push it backwards out of the machine

thats as simple as it dets but im sure arby will jump in from nowhere and tell you the rest

Cheers Dr. I take it that this isn't the same as how jamma machines work , as it would be a bit strange playing a Battle Fever with R2D2 sitting there?! Sorry if that makes me sound stupid, but I am!

no no the cell contains the hole playing field aswell as the screen rom ect you left with a couple of bords when you take the cell out no playfield withnails no screen not much at all i only found out cause i was thinking of one case and being able to store the cells in another place till i wanted to change game pluss it is cheaper to buye a sell instead of a compleat machine
and i know what you mean by the jamma cabs if i had a £1 every time i been steaming grafix of the side of a cab cause the arcade boss was to tight to bye a hole new cab iv even had to add buttons befor now

Rule of thumb yes, but not all way. Sometimes the manufactor will change a configureation on the connectors from say 8 wire to 12 wire.

Sankyo is one of the best at change out
There are posting on how to do it, with pictures
