I was going to build one soon...I am not sure on the design. I will post instructions in my Journal with the pachinko cabinet.

I don't want it to look like a simple box, Something with some class.

I have 2 like these and they work great without the wheels, I added 4 small angle brackets under the top and shelf for extra strength.

Walmart shipping charges are very cheap considering the weight of the package.

How's the size on that one, lucky? The height seems good. I'm wondering about the top surface? Is it wide/deep enough for a pachi or is there a little overlap?

I have all of my pachislo and pachinko machines on these. Can not beat the price and they are very sturdy.

Interesting....those are much shorter than the mismatched printer stands I'm using now. I take it you play using a regular height chair? (I have to use taller stools).

Do you keep the casters on?

I was thinking of doing the same if i can get the time/materials this summer. This way i could keep my pachinkos and pachislots together.

Yes, regular chairs. I use nice padded metal folding chairs. I do keep the casters on all of mine. Everyonce in a while I have to roll them forward to clean out the pachinko balls and pachislo tokens from behind them.

    Thanks for the info!

I was worried that those TV stands would be too short (I have a hard time conceptualizing things for height/distance without actually seeing them). I checked out your gameroom pics again, Chaz...those look great. Hopefully they carry these in the store...I'll stop by a Walmart later.

I ended up finding a couple of black table pedistals on craigslist that work perfectly for my two pachislos. The bases are basically semi-circles and they're the perfect height for standing or barstools although I haven't picked up any stools as of yet.

I really tripped across these by accident but they solved my quest for sure!

I'm coming to this thread late, but Business Depot in Canada sells a stand for about US$40 that fits the bill for me (though I modify it by putting on a heavy back to stiffen the frame): http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...ss+depot+stand

They may have this same manufacturer supplied in the US somewhere.

[QUOTE=fronzdan]Does anyone have a link to these stands on the Walmart site

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4529471

Heres the link. These are the stands that I use and they are perfect. I built a platorm for them to sit on to make them level (on carpet) and raise them to a better height. I just added the pic so that you can see the platform hope its not too dark. There is also one under the single machine to make the height equal to the others. If you wanted to be fancy I guess you could add smoked black glass doors to the stands.

I ended up getting the ones luckydog suggested...

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4529470

They are the same height as the mismatched "stands" I am replacing and just the right width and depth. I like the ~30" height because you can play standing or sitting on a bar stool. I chucked out the wheels...they didn't look like they could handle the weight and they didn't roll on the carpet anyway. To really improve stability (there was slight wiggle when you shook it with a fully loaded machine on top) I mounted a 1/2" piece of ply wood to cover the entire backside. With that, they are solid as a rock. For $23 a pop, you can't go wrong. They sell them in the stores as well as online.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thanks! I pretty much just got lucky that I tripped across these. When I found them, I was actually searching for something else so why my mind translated a couple of table pedistals into pachislo stands, I don't know but it worked. And, they're really sturdy as well.

This is why I posted these because, there are other potential options to be had if the TV/VCR stand is not your desired route.
