I know I read somewhere that you can't mix them or you will fry the machine.I am thinking this would be the power cord side but maybe the yellows don't matter. Thanks for any help.

it doesnt matter the output of the transformer is a/c . the problem you mentioned is cause by hooking the yellow to the line cord that plugs in the wall .it causes it to step up the voltage 4 to 1 or 440 volts instead of 24 volts making your machine a smoke bomb . connect the white and black to the line cord (install a 3 amp inline fuse on the black line for safety protection . then connect the two yellow to the machine doesnt matter which way .....god luck

On soldering I have found it best to pre tin the wire and than place in circurt board or wrap togther with another. it than solders easier togther.
Just what I found that works for me.

I'm going to give that try and see what happens I have mine set at level 6 (it seems to be easier to hit it on that level). I agree it is a fun game to play. I don't know anyone that doesn't like Fireworks.. I think there is a kid in us all LOL!!

it seemed to be the perfect machine since i love to light off morter shells on the 4th of July at myrtle beach . they don't allow it here in p.a. (you'll blow your hand off !!!) but they seem to handle it perfectly down there and most are drunk at the time. either the booze helps or having large type fireworks puts a message in the mind "light that sucker and run !!!!!!" not put on level ground and light fuse and get away...... sounds wimpy........yeah the lower setting shows more combinations and a heck of alot of free spins ...

    Arby,

What do you mean by pre tining the wires? I just realized that I may not be soldering the wire to my pots correctly. I had been puting the solder to the iron and then droping the solder that melted on to the wire.
