Should of looked on Pachitalk first

Ordered the Novus kit to polish up my machines. Works well! When I got to my Popeye Pachinko I decided to try Novus #3 on a scratch on the LIGHTLY coated chrome plastic that light shines through... Well... I sure made things worse. Thank God I only tried it on a small area... Really can't see the scratch anymore because the chrome is GONE! It's not too bad... lesson be learned. Check Pachitalk first (Or read the damn direction on the bottle)!!!!!

Anyway... from the posts that I NOW read... can't paint it or anything, because the light will no longer shine through that spot. Any way to fix it? Or do I just need to put a metallic silver sticker over it like some of the posts suggested and call it added detail? Anything else I need to know? I am assuming the #2 would also be bad on lightly coated chrome plastic parts.

Stickers work , try to find thin ones that let some light through

what about the self-adhesive "bare metal foil" that is used in car modelling ? That might be thin enough for light to shine through ?
