Default rigging up a soft reset

a friend of ours came over today to deliever our washer and dryer, while he was here he put the pachi up on the stand and helped me bolt it down. He played it for about an hour or so. he got 2 hopper jam errors. I tried doing a soft reset to no avail. the only buttons inside the machine are on the powersupply. Any error I get, I have to do a major reset. Do any of you pachi gurus know how to rig up a soft reset gaget?????http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/808...e0543ld.th.jpg sorry for the small pic but I can't find where I put the dang thing on imageshack.

Ps. also turning the key to the left doesn't fix it either

the second round button from the bottom gave me a soft reset without a key on my Hanafuda which is the same as yours.

When you get a hopper error always check for jammed tokens or if your out of tokens before soft reset.

Mine was sitting to long being shut off and a soft reset cleared the error sound.

If a soft reset doesn't work you have no choice but to do a full reset.

did the empty hopper thing, did the disconnected hopper thing, it wants that darn key turned for everything!!!!!!!!!! I don't have to push any buttons, just turn the key turn off the machine, turn it back on and everything is fine. except no credits, if in a bonus, bonus is over yadda yadda.... might just take my chances and pull the power supply out and see if a wire is unhooked or something. there was paper work from slots direct in the machine and I went on their website and all the errors they say to turn the key yadda yadda yadda. major reset to make the long story short.... to fix any and all errors

well, I guess I will never see the full perks (if there are any) of this machine. took the power supply apart and all thats inside the case is a board. must be something in the circuitry

check your door when you open it turn the key to the left and watch the linkage on the door do you see a tab going through a black block with wires coming out of it ?(usually 3 wires) if so you should be able to reset by the door key . your switch may just be defective and need replacement or unplugged and replugged in (bad connection).while you have the hopper out put a few tokens in it and Turn it by hand and eject a few see if they come out easily if not you may have a token jammed in the sensor in the slot where the tokens exit the hopper . also you may have a defective or dirty sensor in the hopper that counts the tokens ejected most count shadows as the tokens pass by it counts a long shadow as a jam whether dust bunny or token it cant tell the difference.....

I got the hopper jam taken care of. When I have the door open I see where there would have been some wires but they have been uhhhh, ripped off???? they are soldered on the door but then just frayed ends about 2in long... Let me tell ya, this poor thing is in bad shape!!!!!. when I first got it, it looked like it was moreless a raw machine. cabinet needs filled in and painted, the metal frame inside has white residue on it and rusty in spots and has a musty smell to it and the thing needed a major cleaning!!!!!!! Got the smell out mostly but this poor thing needs alot of TLC!!!!!

ripped wires ???? theres your reset switch !!!!!!!! Love it when the details come out after the question....... where did you get this abused machine ????? that aint a raw machine its a parts machine in that condition unless your a repair tech of course .........then its a project machine !!!!!

do your self a favor and dont try shorting any of those wires trying to get it to reset these are digital machines not analog they are looking for a digital signal high or low responce from that switch not just open or closed you'll end up feeding 24 volts back to a board thats looking for a 5 volt signal resulting in a pachi god getting very angry and sending the smoke and spark gods to vist your machine !!!!!!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no.... no wiring for me... thats why the wires are still there. My wife got the machine from a co-worker. it belonged to her son and he moved out quite awhile back so she sold it... it works, keeps the wife happy and me out of trouble. The wife bought it as a surprise for me. She gave $35usd for it.

whats the name and who's the maker ? next ask milt or gaku if they have a parts machine of that type and a door reset switch and if possible please leave the socket and plug with a section of the harness attached to the switch so you can splice it back in place color to color . you arent color blind are you ????? if you explain your machines condition they'll know what you need .(besides a tech of course )

Glad you're on your way to tracking down the missing reset function. The condition sounds very typical of the older pachislos that are kicking around. We get spoiled by the nice shiny 2003+ models and then the older ones seem all nasty and grungy. This was more normal a few years ago. Thankfully, most of the newer machines come from non-smoking casinos. That seems to help a lot in the smell / grunge department
