Lord of the rings. What do the lights mean?

Hello,
I'm new to Pachinko.
I have a Lord of the rings machine.
To the left of the display screen, there are 4 rings that light up red one after the other. Sometimes it changes to less. What do they mean?
Also to the right of the display screen, there is a ring and an X shape that flash alternately. What do they mean?

Last of all, on the display itself there in the bottom right corner there is a ring with -- blinking over it. What does it mean?

I had all those questions as well when I got my LOR pachinko machine.
Here's what I've disovered:

1. Rings on the left side of the cell I have not been able to give a definate answer. The "eyes" in the LCD are counting your accumulated spins but it is not in sync with the "red rings" on the left of the cell. So I'm not exactly sure what that is counting. I think it may be counting how many times you have gone down that unique trap and may have something to do with increasing your chance of getting a fever?

2. Rings in the LCD bottom right. Mine always say "00" no one has been able to tell me what this does if anything and mine has never had a number other than double zero.... Go Figure....

3. X/O on the right of the cell... Just like Arby said... when you pass through this trap you have a better chance of the center ball trap opening and closing that kind of thing and apparently this X/O type trap exists on pretty much all make and model of pachinko.

If you have more questions about LOR then please feel free to ask me as I have asked WAY TOO many questions here about it and have it pretty well figured out...
