Default Is Pachinko is FCC approved??

I was speaking with my friend who picked up a few aquarium filters to sell in the US. He found out that it interferes with radio/communication signals. What a shocker!! Not only does he have to return the items but, he has to pay a fine to the FCC
Do you guys know if our beloved pachinko machines are FCC approved? If no one knows, how can we find out? Does it intefere with radio signals or telecommunication signals?
This is a challenge to anyone willing to tackle this issue.:boxing:

There is a big difference between new and used, new items depending on what it is will have to meet certian standards, ie: if I want to import motorscooters they have to be approved by Transport Canada. Used items, you can more or less bring in what you want. Having said that, if you are selling used Pachinko/Pachinko machines you would want to used approved transformers in the machines, because you never want a lawsuit due to bad transformers. The only way the FCC would get involved or any other would be if someone compains or a Pachislo/pachinko machine interfered someway with something important and something happened. Most electronic items made nowadays will meet their countries standards and considering Japan is the most heavly electronic country in the work I would assume that their standards are even higher than Canada and the US.

    Cheers,
    James

that reminds me of a show I watched awhile back (not sure what channel, discovery or history). A certain amount of household electronic items malfunction every year sending out a frequency that is the U.S. or International distress signal. They showed some guy who had a TV malfunction giving off a distress signal, the feds surrounded his house. The guy was totally clueless, his TV seemed to be working fine, regardless they fined him $10,000!

If I turn on more than 2 pachislos in my garage, I can't open the door anymore with the remote control. They do bleed RF interference at certain frequencies. I've had no problems wth anything else.

I'm guessing because pachislo ownership is not allowed.

Thomas, you realize Arby is from the greatest state of all...

After college (many years ago) I took a number of trips using the old rock-bottom Southwest airfares and rock-bottom ($15/day) Thursday noon-Monday midnight weekend car rentals.

One trip included Iowa. Even the people that didn't spend every sunrise and sunset taking pictures or promoting mini-marathons were quite friendly...even a bit shocked that I chose to visit their state. It was quite pleasant.

Ignore those nasty remarks at the bottom of the picture site. We'll have to console ourselves somehow that we're stuck here.

And, you are correct, ocpachinko. Iowa is a great state! But, we don't want an influx from the other states, so you won't hear too much about it.

My favorite quote from that site.

Iowa is also the (future) birthplace of Star Trek's Captain James T. Kirk.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.
