Default Pachislo and Pachinko Scams and Frauds in Japan

What are some of the more common scams and frauds in Japan towards pachinko and pachislo? From what I've been reading, it seems like it's an industry controlled by organized crime over there. I read something about a device called a taikanki which sends out a signal to increase the ball payout in pachinko machines. From what I've seen and read, it seems like there are too many ways for people to cheat the machines for the parlors to stay profitable. Is there something I'm missing?

One of the things in a resent post, I think it may have been from Rupen777 is ware a pachinko parlor can in some machines have the manufacture add something to a pachinko machine that lets them increase the chance of a particular machine get into some bonus so that on a slow day or time it will increase people to want to play. You see other people winning and so you will have to play and win also. Great concept! to bad it doesn't really work like that.

    An old article:
    http://gibisans.com/Pachipictures/Pa...ard_fraud.html

There are lots of ways to cheat but that's why they have attendants (I'm sure some 'plain clothes'), cameras, devices inside the parlor stand that detect radio waves:

One thing about pachinko, it's a slow process. The machine only shoots the balls so fast, it only pays out so fast, so it takes a while to get much. I guess that gives security more time to catch you! And if they are run by the 'mob', heaven help you if you get caught.

My guess would be that they change the rom board:

It's sealed in the case. I can't imagine the Pachinko Council allowing parlors to have direct access to odds, too much room for problems. Unless they are settable in special increments like pachislo, but I would think something would have come up on YJA by now, can't imagine someone not wanting to make there machine easier!
