    Default Pachislo/pachinko advertisement

Any one get post card like advertisements in your regular mail? I get a post card from American Syscom (pachislo.com) in the mail today. First I have to pay the extra postage for it. They put on it .24 in stamps but it cost .52 to send. Nice! Not only are they soliciting me I get to pay for there advertisement to boot! If know one else got one it said Pachinko premium machine for 199.00/each. Pachislo bargain 69.00/each, bargain 6 pack 550.00, and pick& choose 6- 99.00/each. So what do you think of getting stuff in the mail from a vendor just because you bought a machine from them in the past?

tough one really if they said from the begining hey, loyal customer, do you mind if we send you an advert everyonce in while to fill you in regarding new products services etc.. that be ok. but to send stuff just because you decided to buy from them once or whatever is nothing more then spam. and the inproper postage doesnt help much.. but then again that may be part of the mail drive.. if you make em pay a quarter they will read it for sure

With the wrong postage on it -- now that is crazy!

(in some respects, though, I'm laughing... not at you, but at the situation...)

I don't mind advertisements from vendors I have already chosen to use. I would prefer if it was an email though.

I don't mind getting solicited from a place I've already done business with, I usually sign up for the mailing list. I just can't figure out though why it would cost .52 cents to mail a post card.

In Canada they don't send mail with postage due to the recipient, it automatically gets sent back to the sender with a little sticker over the address that you peel off after you pay up the extra postage.

I assume you could have sent the mail back "return to sender" rather than pay the extra postage...

Now, as far as receiving mail from pachi dealers, I wouldn't consider that junk mail, (I'd say halleluha that there's a dealer in our area that's advertising a deal) at least I'd be interested in it, not like the other 99% which really is junk. At our post office (I live in a village with no home delivery) they have recycle containers that get filled right there every day. The bulk senders pay for the post to have it put in our boxes and the majority of us move it from our boxes straight to the recycle bin, well except for the Pachislo and Pizza flyers that is..

It was in my mail box this morning. I think I will go to the post office and tell them I don't want it and they can send it back to them and collect from them. Then I will ask how a post card size thing could cost more than to send a letter.

I got one, no extra postage required here, 24 cents must've been enough for the short trip from CA to AZ.

I don't mind. It pretty much mirrors the e-mail they sent me a few days ago.

USPS rates on a postcard is 24 cents.

They must have forgot to put stamps when they sent yours out and the post office must have put then on.

SYSCOM gives 6 pack deals with the machines of your choice if they have them.

I'd be thrilled to get a flyer/advert in the mail from them.

Although my curiousity would not allow me to pay for deficient postage, if it's pachislo, I wan it.

I received this postcard too. Attached to it was an envelope for me to pay the additional postage. I simply wrote "refused - return to sender" on the envelope and placed it back in the mail box.

Well I had some time to go to the post office today. I showed them the post card type advertisement and the amount of .52 cents for postage. here is what I was told. The card is the regular size as a post card but can't be processed like one because the stick on mailing address is in the wrong direction. A post card is supposed to be long side horizontal with the address the same on it. The picture orientation does not matter as long as the address is running in the correct way. If it is correct then machines can read it and proses it normally with the cost being the standard .24 cents for a post card. The address label on mine is running the wrong way so it has to be read and handled be a person. They put an extra charge on it for this and that is why I got charged extra postage. Now others have said they got one but was not charged extra. How is your address label? Maybe some post offices are charging the extra postage and some are not. I will be calling Syscom to say what the post office said. Just to let them know there may be something they want to change with the advertising card.
