After waiting for about a minute without any sign of the raccoon, I started checking the door again to see if I could find another way in, when all of a sudden, the whole door slid back about a foot and started sliding to the side into he wall!!!

It turns out that the door was about three feet thick, and it took about 45 seconds to fully retract into the wall. Once the door was fully open the raccoon that was still with me stepped into the now open doorway to shine its light into the darkness.

There was what looked to be a long dark hallway, sloping down and curving to the right, but the other raccoon was not there!

I look around the chair closet for a flashlight, but all I could find were some glow sticks that were left over from a rave the raccoons had had the week before in the old barn out back.

So once I had a few of them lit me and the raccoon ventured into the long dark hallway.......
