Dear Friends here is the latest Jano email.

I am at a bit of an impass I require your kind assistance on how to overcome this.... i am thinking of photoshopping a picture of the Captain weirdo guy and some banker looking dude or dudette holding up a piece of paper or a makeshift sign of sorts but am unable to locate a suitable image on the internet to be photoshopped properly.

if anyone comes across such an image on their internet travels and they think it is suitable and you wish to help. (you'll get a bigger cut of the profits ) please pass on the image link to me. either by PM or post it in this thread... (no Pachitalk peoples pics please)
    thanks....

Subject: Your pix and banker too.

Captain, You wrotes "Mrs Russchen should email me directly and she
should send a picture ofherself. in the picture she should hold a paper
sign that says "Captain W. Eirdo" No picture, and no sign then NO DEAL!"

The above You sent is not neccessary and 100% impossible. It is not in
the banking ethics of FD to allow Her staff to do such. Its a dream
    here.

Ahh! Is that what YOu do in Your bank? Very well then, tell Your
banker to take a picture of His and Yours and write My name "Jano
Carlon" and then send to Me. If You really trust Me, then adhere
strictly to My instructions. Besides FD is the target bank and
information in Your name there, so You should contact FD. Thats where
the money is. I am waiting for You.Its Good and okay,Jano---

I would use a famous person like Lady Di and make it so fake looking that only an idiot would not know........better yet, flip Jano's picture and paste it to eirdo's photo

He's playin' you now. I wouldn't do it. You gave him a challenge and he's simply turned it back on you. Time to make him put up or shut up.

I suspect Jano knows about the 419eater website. Consider this in your reply...your sincere desire for mutual authentication must balance the 'unfortunate misuse' of these photographs.

Once again Pachitalk has led me into a strange world. That website is quite incredible. I didn't know about it until this thread.

I visited Ghana in January...no, not for monies, but to learn about their history (using frequent flyer miles). Ghana isn't nearly as challenging a place to live as Nigeria...and has only a fraction of the people...but is also a former British colony (providing the (now deteriorating) educations in English that make these scams possible).

The people in Ghana, especially in Kumasi (the old Asante capital) were amazingly hardworking...not much time for most of them to visit the 'internet cafes'--which (with some exceptions) consist of old salvaged PC's from the first world fixed and networked to a shared dialup at 9600 baud tops and arrayed in recycled pressboard cubicles. Cost: about 60 cents an hour...expensive for locals, but worth it to allow their kids a chance to use PCs.

On the wall of one cafe were a few signs: a promotion that offered free paperwork processing in the next US Visa lottery, another sign with the date of that lottery, and a sign prohibiting internet porn (the vast majority of Ghanians are Christian, mostly Protestant).

So there I was, 7000 miles from the (equally strange to many here) California, and the only wish expressed was a chance to be an American.

In Nigeria, unlike in Ghana, fraud and crime are rampant...there are just too many people...and too many that are desperate. There's a part of me that sees 419eater as just revenge on criminals, and certainly if it discourages this behavior that's a good thing...the internet access Jano is wasting on this project could be used to advance legitimate interests.

The most moving experience I had in Ghana was visiting a Methodist church in Accra, the capital. I went to the second service (9 AM, the first was at 7), only to discover the service was in Fante (the local language). No matter, I can get the gist of it. As I sat down, a kindly elder handed me a worn Methodist hymnal, in Fante. The songs were the same old standards, just literally translated. Imagine a church service exactly like our traditional services, and there you have it. With one exception--twice in the service, there were songs in the local style...and the congregation loved those.

There aren't enough places where you see 500 people happily dancing and singing in a packed church. As the sole white visitor, everyone was courteous. Toward the end, a wonderful old elder woman of the church, beaming with a broad smile, came up to me and kissed me on both cheeks, welcoming me to the church.

In my church, as friendly as it is, that won't happen anytime soon.

I'm sorry. I've hijacked the entertainment...and that's what I'm at Pachitalk for. But just remember my story as you see the pathetic folks on 419 eater...though I suspect if, like here, they took church a bit more seriously they would never try these idiotic scams.
