Default Pachislo - Luck or Skill?

When I started playing my Jet Set Radio machine, I played it like a regular slot machine, assuming that there was no skill what so ever and the outcome of the spin was all determined by a RNG. I hardly won, even at Level 6, playing in this manner. After some people made some comments about the machine, I figured I'd try to figure out the nuances of the machine. Sure enough, the number of times I won increased drastically (I even got the big bonus 3 times). Instead of playing haphazardly, I tried playing with a bit of skill. Is this just a fluke or do pachislo machines really have an element of skill involved?

With my experience with my Dance night machine I'd have to say that there is an element of skill involved, not always sometimes your damned no matter what you do.

I feel like my machines take pity on me after a while and just pay out.

I thought the element of skill is what makes it possible for these slots to be in parlors in Japan where gambling is illegal.

Then explain pachinko. The only skill I know of is reading the nails and knowing when to quit.

Skill is skill, no matter how limited. Reading the nails and applying the proper shooting tension is necessary to win at pachinko. ...and knowing when to quit also comes in handy.

With pachislo, which is also called a skill stop slot machine, you do have the possibility of winning from good eye-shooting. Of course, this is only possible when the machine is in some kind of chance mode.

you hit the nail on the head the chance element is only available when the machine graces you with its presence otherwise its a lesson in futility as it skids past to a jac or what ever it needs to complete its payoff ratio .besides it needs to eat ya know!!!!! interestingly enough i have 2 American slots from wildwood new jersey converted by the manufacturer for an arcade to skill stop . they stop on demand and payout a lot easier almost to easy .... I'm thinking of selling one of them if anyone in the p.a. region is interested there token in token out .... slant top model (sit down) about the size of a washing machine and weigh about 150 pounds i might consider a trade or cash if interested .pictures of the machine are on this thread http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...ighlight=sigma
    just scroll down.

With the rule that a reel can stop within four positions of the stop button being pressed (slipping) and the spacing of the symbols, they can control the outcome and let you eyeshoot in bonus rounds. Now a converted american machine to skill stop would not have the benefit of the code of the 4 position slip. So it should make it a lot easier.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

I read that the win or lose is determined as soom as the spin kob is pressed. bummer
I have a Neo Planett that shows if I will win a replay or 3 bell on the overlay display. it has been wrong before, probably because of my stopping being too far out of the slip range. but no matter what order i press them or when 99% of the time it lines up the replay/bell
