    Actually while the plans do call for wetting the wood if you just cut it a little long you can simply force it into place with a nice curve to it. Use a couple of 3/8 screws at the hole to hold it in place. I used this technique for all of the cabinets I built. Good luck

    I agree with dave.. i would not bother wetting.. a few screws and a good bit of glue and your good to go.. (IMHO)

    a 1/16 possaably an 1/8 inch.. cut it long and trim it down if needed..
