"Generic" pachislo

I'm looking for an inexpensive pachislo that has fun music and doesn't yell too much stuff in Japanese. I'm interested in doing my own conversion.

Any suggestions?

A couple that look like good candidates are Babel and Penguin Paradise.

Some of the older machines are better suited. The simpler machines are less tied to a theme. A lot of people like the New Pulsar to work with. I always wanted to find a good supply of Versus machines, they looked like they'd be easy to work with. Avoid LEDs and LCDs if your theme doesn't match roughly the theme of the machine. If you wnat to replace the reel strips, then it is easier to work with machines without back-lit reels.

I have an Aristocrat Crayfish machine that is converted to Spongebob Squarepants by a member on here. The underwater theme of the LED works OK with the Spongebob theme. My daughters and I have talked about creating a set of Little Mermaid graphics for it since that theme would work well too.

I have some Siolar machines that would be great to convert to a Barbie theme, but the design of the machine makes changing out the graphics more difficult than most.

I started working on converting an Animal King to Survivor Africa, but the machine was adopted before I got the new graphics made.

I just picked up a dance nights and that a real fun game with a lots of music. You can snipe them on e-bay pretty cheap sometimes but i think the normal price is less then $150.00 anyway. I'm going to keep mine for a while

go with a 30 mm token machine, they tend to run cheaper
