According to news reports, the Olympic brain trust decided they needed to jazz up the speed skating venue by showcasing cheerleaders for the first time. Auditions began in December, and the ad that ran in Italian newspapers said: "The ability to move to the music is needed to become an Olympic cheerleader". Amazingly, despite setting the bar at such universally accepted high cheerleading standards, the ones they eventually chose didn't quite match the level of their Dallas Cowboy's rivals. By the same token, they didn't get arrested in a bathroom stall for fighting and indecent sexual acts either. So for that, I think they should at least win a Pachitalk gold medal.

(On second thought, maybe not. I give a 10.0 to the fighting stall stallers from the Carolina Panthers!)

At the University of Iowa Football stadium, they put down aster turf to keep the cheerleaders form grazing on the opponents side of the field
