no sound no video

hi im in the uk. i purchashed a onimusha machine and incorrectly plugged it in to a 110 ac transformer I now know it should have been 24ac. I purchased a new power supply and a 24ac transformer, when i connected everything the reels spin it takes coins and credits, however there is no sound and no video ,when it first starts up, it says NO SYNC on the screen for a few seconds. Any ideas , have i blown something else?

Yes i have dont the same thing on a baseball boy. The sound board on my was blown also. Follow the spaeker wires back.

Did you manage to trace the fault and get it fixed les_888??

Thanks for the welcome, still haven't managed to get it fixed. Took out the two control boards sent them off to supplier who checked them, he said they were ok and he was recording NO SYNC. Think it must be the actual screen.

if the screen says no synk then it is running fine if you had blown any part of the screen driver ect it would have carried on down the line the back light might work but wouldent have any message ect as its part of the driver bord that produces this message so money is still on the video bord not the screen or driver

Your probably right. Having just purchased popeye, i notice that the boards are identical to onimusha. To check the videoboard on the onimusha myself can I put it into the popeye machine . i dont wish to break anything on the popeye machine though.

if im correct then yes they should just swap out you will end up with some real strange sounds ie not maching the reels or the animation on screen but will give you an idea as to weather it is the screen or the bord

Put the onimusha video board in the popeye machine screen still says No sync. Then put the popeye videoboard in the onimusha machine thinking it would work albiet with strange sounds - but no, screen says No Sync. Can only think it must be the video board and something else wrong with onimusha. Gonna scrap it i think.
