visited with #247 today.the husband left it when he moved out. hopeing to strike a fair deal as she needs some trees removed after the huricane and has no interest in the hd. should take me a full day of work and save her about $2000.00.

Over two years ago, I had to give up my Harley to raise some quick cash. A good home was found with Laz.

Of all the machines I've owned, that was the one I missed the most.

But when you're in straits, you do what you have to do.

While chatting with Laz in a PM not too long ago, he told me that he always felt badly when he bought it... thinking that he took advantage of a bad situation that I was in. This gentleman offered to sell it back to me now for the same amount that I sold it to him... over two years ago. As anyone familiar with this limited edition knows, it has raised in price since that time. I readily accepted that offer, now that financial conditions would allow it.

He told me that he was going to get it out of storage and check it out... then get back to me if he decided to sell it for certain.

Today... the FedEx man 'brought home' Harley Davidson #216. It looks better than when I sold it, near mint, and was obviously cared for with kid gloves. What a surprise to see the FedEx guy lugging a pachi box to my porch... but an even bigger surprise when I saw who it was from!!!
Only a gentleman would trust shipping a machine like this up front without payment... and that's exactly what he did.

Tomorrow, I send the funds!

But tonight... I play the Harley!

She's home... and she's never getting away from me again!

Thanks to Birdbrain I now have a Harley of my own.

This one I purchased fair and square! Previous owner didn't want it!? My gain.
Birdbrain originally posted about seeing it on ebay but auction was canceled. Contacted the person and made the deal. Then it was picked up and shipped by birdbrain. It arrived today in great shape.

Just adding mine to the list. Harley Davidson Model #314. Looks like mine is the highest number so far. I wonder how many were made and also how many made it to the US.
